Federal Programs
MANY PROGRAMS – ONE PURPOSE: SERVING STUDENTS, STAFF AND PARENTS
The Federal Programs Department at Sunnyside USD is dedicated to serving families, students Pre-K to 12th grade, administrators, certified and classified staff, as well as the entire community of the Sunnyside district. We provide these services through:
- Allocating federal and state grant funds to support district and school improvement plans
- Providing additional learning opportunities for students outside the school day
- Coordinating with the University of Arizona on helping parents and students become College and Career ready
- Operating a community clothing and shoe bank, food pantry and providing referrals to community agencies
- Providing support and assistance to students and families experiencing homelessness
- Servicing the needs of Sunnyside students attending private schools
