Desert View’s Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) is a program designed to develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community. AFJROTC offers a strong leadership program that teaches character education, student achievement, wellness, leadership, and diversity. Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of extracurricular club activities including color guard, drill team, Orienteering, Kitty Hawk – a military honor society and Raiders physical training focused club. It is important to note that there is no military obligation for those who choose to participate.

Students entering the military may receive a higher rank based on the successful completion of either 3 years or 4 years of the ROTC program.
