Employee contract pay distributions are calculated in accordance with USFR guidance VI-H-1.4.

First pay will be calculated using the number of days within the pay period times the employee’s daily
rate*. The remaining balance is divided by 25 and paid equally from 2nd to the 26th installment.
Total 26 installments.

*Daily rate = Contract amount divided by number of work days. (i.e. $79616 divided by 260 work days =
$306.18 daily rate).

Please note that the number of pay periods vary depending on the employee’s contract start date.
Explanations provided are for employees that start at the beginning of the work calendar for the
position. Employees starting later in the year may have less number of installments.
