Girls Group at Sunnyside High School
We started a Girls Group! Our first community project was a vegetable and herb garden for the TAPP population. If you would like to be part of our group or you just want to see what we are about, call (520) 545-5357 or show up to a meeting?
Meetings scheduled for 2020:
All meetings are on Thursdays from 2 to 3:30pm in room 106 at Sunnyside High School.
The Girls Group is organized to provide education, mentorship and support to current and past female students of Sunnyside High School. The group's purpose is to increase self-esteem and self-advocacy and therefor decrease the rate of teen pregnancy through the focus areas of Leadership, Confidence, and Community. To achieve our goal, the Girls Group shall have meeting topics surrounding: improving the community, volunteerism, community & school resources, stress management, healthy communication, healthy relationships, goal planning, positive self-image, consent, and STD knowledge.
