AUGUST 6, 2018 / MODIFIED OCT 11, 2018 04:47 PM

Help Athletes recover from injury, prevent future injuries and improve performance.

The Sports Medicine program offers students the opportunity to gain skills in a hands-on sports medicine environment. Students in their second year of the program will be given a chance to observe diagnosis and treat sports related injuries first hand and work as an assistant to the athletic trainer for their school.  In addition, students will assist in treatment to prevent, and rehabilitate injuries and support student athletes by taping and wrapping a wide range of body parts to prepare for athletic competition.

Sports medicine is an excellent option for students interested in Allied Health Fields such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Emergency Medicine and Medical/Nursing Assisting.
