STAR artists

Student artists from S.T.A.R. Academic Center created mosaic designs to embellish the concrete flower beds at the Sunnyside Neighborhood Peace Garden. Funding for materials and tile artist-in-residence Sue Betanzos came from a Sunnyside Foundation Excellence in Education grant. Sierra Tile donated all the grout for the project. Roberta Lewis is the art teacher at S.T.A.R. The mosaic tiles will be installed at the Peace Garden on Saturday, March 3.
