Career Ladder
2011-2012 School Year

The 2011-2012 school year is the second year of the five year phase out of the Career Ladder program.

All Career Ladder participants will complete written reports. The scores from the written reports will be used to determine placement. These scores will establish current, upward or downward placement on the ladder.

The Career Ladder "frozen" status is no longer an option. Written reports scores will be used to determine final placement. The Career Ladder program will continue to follow district policies related to FMLA or other such medical, bereavement, maternity or paternity leaves of absence and allow for adjustments.

There will be no Alternative options for the duration of the phase out.

Due to legislative language prohibiting any new participation on the Career Ladder that went into effect November 24, 2009, any Career Ladder participant that chooses to exit from the program will not be able to reapply for placement. This includes ESI employees.

This is the final year that Level I participants will be eligible for placement. Level I participants choosing to complete the placement process will submit written reports to document their Career Ladder responsibilities and requirements as well as be evaluated through a classroom observation. There is no compensation for the placement year.
