Issues / Crisis Management Communications

During a crisis, schools face unusual demands which is why effective management of information to the community is vital. Therefore, at the time of a crisis it is very difficult for a school to organize an effective crisis intervention response and still maintain the required long-range perspective. The Office of Public Information works hand in hand with the Assistant Superintendent of Operations during a school incident or emergency to provide open communication with the community.

Marketing

Marketing: Why is it Important?
For a company or institution to grow, it must build strong customer relationships. That’s where an effective integrated marketing plan comes in. With a comprehensive, integrated marketing plan, we can effectively communicate our mission, values and messages in ways that speak to our target audience. Many people confuse marketing with advertising. While both are important, advertising is only a single component of the marketing process.

Publications

Publications can reach large audiences with more targeted, technical and detailed information than that which can be communicated through press releases and media advisories. Publications are handy educational tools that remain with the target audience for future reference and consultation. Appropriate mailing lists and distribution at special events and key locations are essential to the communications success of publications. The district provides these publications each year to reach stakeholders.
