Third Graders Across the District Receive Dictionaries

Every year, the Kino Rotary Club presents our third grade students with dictionaries to help them get a step up on reading and vocabulary.

We have 18 students on our team this year ranging from freshmen to seniors.

Middle School Madness at the Y


Middle School Madness at the Mulcahy YMCA starts October 18, 7 to 9:45 pm.

Drop off the little ghouls at 6:45, last pick up is at 9:45. Members are free. Dressed in costume are free.

Average Looks Pretty Good!

In looking at the latest report, "Public Education Finances: FY 2012" from the Economics and Statistics Administration of the U.S.Department of Commerce being average looks pretty good. In FY 2012 average revenue for K-12 public schools in the U.S. was $12,331 per pupil. Arizona's average revenue per pupil was $8347 per pupil. Sunnyside Junior and Senior AVID students attended a College Resource Fair, participated in a walk-a-thon and lastly attended a college fair at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Services for Former Challenger Teacher David Allardice
