Parent Teacher Conferences This Week

SUSD Conferences

This week is parent/teacher conferences for elementary and middle schools. Students will have half days on Tuesday through Friday this week. High Schools do not partake in parent/teacher conferences at this time and therefore, will have a regular class schedule.

Sunnyside Students Attend UA Reading

Teen Town Hall


Sunnyside District high school students participated in a Teen Town Hall along with students from all over the city.

Healthy Smoothies by Sunnyside SWAT Team


Sunnyside SWAT (Student Wellness Advocacy Team) provided healthy smoothies during lunch to help promote healthy eating and awareness of nutrition. It was fun for all!

State Funding of Education - Update

On October 16, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities released a report that examined the percent change in K-12 education funding per pupil from FY 2008 to FY 2015.

Our state ranked near the top in the percentage reduction in per pupil funding.
