Operational Goals


Recognizing that the mission of Sunnyside Unified School District is to “ensure that all students achieve academic success and contribute positively to a diverse, changing and democratic society”, the Purchasing/Warehouse/Property Control Department realizes and accepts its role and responsibility to provide support services that will ensure the School District’s success in accomplishing its mission.  As such, this department is committed to the following operating goals:

  1. To ensure that each student in the school district derives maximum benefit from the expenditures of pupil allocation set by the Governing Board for the acquisition of supplies, equipment and services.

    a.  Adopting, implementing and enforcing sound purchasing practices. 
    b.  Purchase services, supplies, and equipment on a timely basis consistent with district needs.

  2. To safeguard the school district’s investment in equipment through the efficient and effective property control practices.
  3. To safeguard the district’s investment in supplies and equipment through the efficient and effective central warehousing practices.

    a.  To assist in the effective and efficient acquisition, control and warehousing of instructional and non-instructional supplies, materials and equipment.

  4. To provide the best possible customer service to the school district as needed.
  5. To support and promote school district adopted programs and policies.
  6. To Conduct daily business related to Purchasing, Property Control and Warehousing in accordance with Arizona State Law, rules, regulations and Sunnyside School District Governing Board Policies.
